Garmin Flight Stream 510 - 010-01322-11

Garmin Flight Stream 510 is a wireless gateway that connects compatible avionics with supported mobile devices for database updates, flight plan transfer, and connected cockpit data sharing. It is a practical choice for aircraft owners seeking to reduce the manual steps involved in keeping avionics data current and moving flight planning information into the cockpit.

Wireless Database Updates

Database Concierge transfers selected database updates from Garmin Pilot to compatible avionics wirelessly. Download databases to your mobile device before heading to the airport, then transfer them when you arrive.

Flight Plan Continuity

Build a flight plan on a compatible mobile device and transfer it wirelessly to compatible avionics using BLUETOOTH® technology. Flight Stream 510 also synchronizes flight plans and databases across compatible displays and avionics.

Mobile Traffic And Weather

When connected with a compatible GTN or GTN Xi series navigator and GTX™ 345 transponder or GDL® 88 datalink, Flight Stream 510 can display ADS-B traffic and subscription-free weather in supported apps. TargetTrend™ and TerminalTraffic™ provide additional air and ground traffic awareness.

Connected Device Workflow

Installed in the SD card slot of compatible avionics, Flight Stream 510 can connect with up to two mobile devices running Garmin Pilot™, ForeFlight Mobile, or FltPlan Go. It also supports connection with aera® 660 and aera 760 portables, helping keep relevant flight information available across supported devices.

Position And Display Data

Flight Stream 510 can share GPS information from a GTN navigator to provide precise position reference on mobile devices. With a compatible flight display, supported apps can also show backup attitude information, including dynamic pitch and bank. Chart data remains available for viewing and use while database synchronization is in progress.

Additional Connected Services

When an engine information system (EIS) is paired with a GTN navigator and Flight Stream gateway, engine data can be sent wirelessly to Garmin Pilot and uploaded to flyGarmin.com after an internet connection is available. Optional connected equipment can add Garmin Pilot text and voice services through a GSR 56 satellite datalink, or SiriusXM Aviation Weather and remote SiriusXM audio control through a GDL 69 or GDL 69A SXM datalink receiver.

Not sure this is the right fit for your aircraft?

Avionics compatibility can vary based on your aircraft, existing equipment, and planned installation. Give Neal Avionics a call or send us an email—we’ll be happy to help you review the product and determine whether it fits your needs.

FLY WITH ADVANCED COCKPIT CONNECTIVITY AND AVIONICS INTEGRATION

Part of the Connext® family of flight connectivity solutions from Garmin, the Flight Stream 510 wireless gateway works with the Garmin Pilot™ app on your compatible smart devices to wirelessly stream data to/from your avionics, saving you time and workload in the cockpit.

LINK TO YOUR AVIONICS

When installed in the SD card slot of your compatible avionics, Flight Stream 510 can be connected with up to two mobile devices running Garmin Pilot, ForeFlight Mobile or FltPlan Go apps — as well as our aera® 660 and aera 760 portables.

EASY DATABASE UPDATES

Your Flight Stream gateway connection enables Database Concierge wireless database transfer. At home, you can select individual databases on the Garmin Pilot app, download them to your device and then quickly transfer the fresh databases to the compatible avionics in your aircraft when you arrive at the airport.

DATA SYNCHRONIZATION

With Flight Stream 510, you can transfer and synchronize your databases and flight plans to all your compatible displays and avionics -- behind the scenes. You can still view and use your chart data, even while the databases are synchronizing.

SEAMLESS FLIGHT PLANNING

Complete your flight plan from the comfort of your home, office or FBO lounge. Then, wirelessly transfer the data to your compatible avionics via the Flight Stream connection with BLUETOOTH® technology.

ADS-B TRAFFIC AND WEATHER

Connect your Flight Stream 510 gateway and GTN or GTN Xi series navigator to a GTX™ 345 transponder or GDL® 88 datalink, and display ADS-B traffic and subscription-free weather on devices running the Garmin Pilot, ForeFlight Mobile or FltPlan Go apps. As part of Garmin Terminal Safety Solutions™, TargetTrend™ and TerminalTraffic™ features offer added situational awareness of air or ground traffic conflicts.

GPS POSITION SHARING

Flight Stream lets you share GPS information from your GTN navigator to display precise position reference on mobile devices. And with a compatible flight display, you can also view backup attitude information, including dynamic pitch and bank, within the Garmin Pilot, ForeFlight Mobile or FltPlan Go apps.

STREAM ENGINE INFORMATION

When an engine information system4 (EIS) is paired with your GTN navigator and Flight Stream gateway, the data can be sent wirelessly to the Garmin Pilot app on your mobile device. After landing, your data can be automatically uploaded to flyGarmin.com once you connect to the internet. This information can then be automatically shared with select data analysis services (link to flight logs page) for detailed insights about your flight.

MAKE CALLS, SEND TEXTS

With the Garmin Pilot app, pair your Flight Stream 510 with an optional GSR 56 satellite datalink4 to access text and voice services, both in-flight and on the ground, via the Connext network (subscription required). This lets you easily send and receive messages with your device — and even use its contact database — as well as complete phone calls through your headset.

SIRIUSXM REMOTE CONTROL

With a GDL 69 and GDL 69A SXM datalink receiver (subscription required), the Flight Stream 510 gateway supports the display of SiriusXM Aviation Weather for the U.S. and Canada on the Garmin Pilot app. Plus, you and your passengers can enjoy remote control of SiriusXM satellite music selections, volume controls and audio channels from anywhere in the cabin.
