Garmin aera® 760 - 010-02303-00
The Garmin aera® 760 is a portable aviation GPS navigator that brings VFR/IFR route data, approach information and moving-map capability to a 7-inch touchscreen display. Its sunlight-readable screen, flexible charting and flight-planning tools make it a strong option for pilots who want detailed navigation information in a portable format. Portrait and landscape orientation support adaptable cockpit positioning.
Clear Chart Viewing
View georeferenced VFR sectional charts for the U.S., Canada and Europe, or use IFR map mode for high and low enroute airways. Touch-enabled map information includes minimum enroute altitudes and distances between intersections.
Flexible Flight Planning
Build routes by entering a starting waypoint and destination, then adding segments such as airways, IFR departures, arrivals and approaches. The on-screen Direct-to key and nearest-airport and flight-plan waypoint menus support fast course entry.
Optional Traffic And Weather
Available Garmin ADS-B “In” solutions can provide ADS-B traffic targets and subscription-free U.S. weather data. TargetTrend™ relative motion tracking and TerminalTraffic™ display add traffic context when supported ADS-B information is available.
Display And Map Control
The bright, sunlight-readable 7-inch touchscreen uses pinch-to-zoom and panning controls for direct map interaction. GPS and GLONASS satellite reception supports rich, interactive and customizable aviation maps, while terrain, obstacles, airports and cities provide useful ground references for VFR position awareness. The WVGA color TFT display has white backlighting and a 480 x 800 resolution.
Airport And Airspace Context
Georeferenced SafeTaxi diagrams automatically help track aircraft location after landing at hundreds of airports and identify published hot spots. Smart Airspace™ guidance highlights airspace nearest the current altitude, helping pilots identify their position relative to surrounding airspace. The navigator also supports IFR approaches, arrivals and departures.
Connected Avionics Options
With an optional power/data cable, the aera® 760 can find and upload frequencies to select radios, including most Garmin GTR™ series COMM radios and GNC® series NAV/COMM radios. It can interface with the GFC™ 500 digital autopilot for coupled lateral and VFR vertical guidance, and flight plans can be transferred wirelessly to select Garmin systems. Pairing with an optional GDL® 51 or GDL 52 datalink receiver adds SiriusXM satellite weather coverage and audio entertainment features.
