NEAL AVIONICS is referred to in this policy as “we,” “us,” or “our.” “You” refers to a visitor, customer, prospective customer, account holder, or other individual who interacts with us.
Our store is hosted on Shopify. Shopify provides the online commerce platform that allows us to offer products and services to you. Shopify and other providers may process personal information on our behalf or for purposes described in their own privacy notices.
1. Scope of this policy

Please do not submit such information unless it is specifically requested and reasonably necessary.

4. How we use personal information
We may use personal information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our website.

- Package, ship, deliver, and track products.
- Respond to questions, requests, product inquiries, and customer-support matters.

5. How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this policy:
Commerce and hosting providers
Shopify and related providers that host, operate, secure, and support our online store and checkout.
Payment and fraud providers
Banks, card networks, payment processors, identity services, and fraud-prevention vendors.
Order and delivery providers
Warehouses, distributors, manufacturers, shipping carriers, freight providers, and fulfillment services.
Technology providers
Website, cloud storage, email, communications, security, analytics, customer-management, and IT providers.
Advertising partners
Advertising, social-media, analytics, and measurement providers, subject to applicable law and your privacy choices.
Professional and legal recipients
Accountants, attorneys, insurers, auditors, regulators, courts, and law-enforcement agencies when appropriate.
We may also disclose information at your direction, with your consent, to complete a transaction you requested, to protect the rights and safety of customers or others, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, sale, or acquisition.
6. Sale and sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, California law defines “sale” and “sharing” broadly. Certain uses of advertising, analytics, social-media, or cross-site tracking technologies may be considered a sale of personal information or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, even when no money is exchanged.
Depending on the tools enabled on our store, the categories that may be sold or shared in this broader legal sense can include:
- Identifiers and online identifiers.
- Internet or electronic-network activity.
- Approximate geolocation information.
- Commercial information and product interests.
- Inferences drawn from website or purchase activity.
These categories may be shared with advertising networks, analytics providers, social-media platforms, or related technology providers for advertising, attribution, measurement, personalization, or analytics.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
You do not need to create an account to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
7. Cookies, analytics, and tracking technologies
We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies. These technologies may be used to:
- Keep the website and checkout functioning.
- Remember your selections and shopping cart.
- Authenticate accounts and protect transactions.
- Understand how visitors use our website.
- Measure website, email, and advertising performance.
- Personalize content or advertising.
- Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
Cookie and privacy controls
You may be able to manage nonessential cookies through the privacy or cookie controls displayed on our website. You can also adjust your browser settings to reject or delete cookies. Blocking certain cookies may prevent parts of the website, account, cart, or checkout from functioning properly.
Global Privacy Control
Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized, browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for the browser or device that sends the signal. When you are logged into an account and can be reasonably identified, the request may also be applied to the associated account as required by law.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for responding to every Do Not Track signal, our website might not respond to traditional Do Not Track settings. We do, however, process legally recognized opt-out preference signals when required.
8. How long we retain personal information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing products and support, maintaining records, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying tax, accounting, warranty, safety, and legal obligations.
| Type of information | General retention period or criteria |
|---|---|
| Order, payment, tax, and transaction records | Generally retained for up to seven years after the transaction, or longer when required by tax, accounting, warranty, litigation, or other legal obligations. |
| Customer account and profile information | Retained while the account is active and generally for up to four years afterward, unless a longer or shorter period is appropriate. |
| Customer-service and product inquiries | Generally retained for up to three years after the matter is closed, subject to warranty, safety, dispute, and legal needs. |
| Marketing information | Retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, or the information is no longer reasonably useful. Limited suppression records may be retained to honor your opt-out. |
| Website analytics, cookies, and device information | Retention varies by cookie and provider and is generally based on operational, analytics, security, and advertising needs. Nonessential cookies may commonly remain for approximately 13 to 24 months unless deleted earlier through your browser or privacy settings. |
| Security, fraud, and access logs | Retained for a period reasonably necessary to detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents, fraud, and abuse. |
| Privacy-request records | Generally retained for at least 24 months to document compliance and prevent fraudulent requests. |
Retention periods may be extended when reasonably necessary for litigation, an investigation, a legal hold, a warranty claim, product safety, fraud prevention, or another lawful purpose. Information may also be deleted or deidentified earlier when it is no longer needed.
9. California privacy rights
Subject to applicable exceptions and verification requirements, California residents may have the following rights:
- Right to know and access. You may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of recipients.
- Right to delete. You may ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to exceptions such as completing transactions, maintaining security, complying with law, and exercising or defending legal claims.
- Right to correct. You may request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. You may direct us not to sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. Where applicable, you may direct us to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to purposes permitted by California law.
- Right to data portability. Where required, you may receive information in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
- Right to non-discrimination. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Financial incentives
We do not currently offer a program that we consider a financial incentive or price or service difference in exchange for the collection, sale, or sharing of personal information. If we introduce such a program, we will provide the required notice explaining its material terms before you participate.
California “Shine the Light” law
California residents may request information about certain disclosures of personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing without providing choices as required by applicable law.
10. How to exercise your privacy rights
You may submit a privacy request through one of the methods below. Please clearly describe the right you want to exercise and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records.
Verification
To protect your information, we may need to verify your identity before completing a request to know, access, delete, or correct. Verification may require matching information you provide with information already maintained in our records. We will use personal information supplied for verification only for verification, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
We will not require verification for an opt-out request unless verification is reasonably necessary to process the request. You do not need to create an account to opt out.
Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof that the agent has authority to act for you and may contact you directly to confirm your identity or authorization. An agent may also provide a valid power of attorney where applicable.
Response timing
We generally respond to verified requests to know, access, delete, or correct within 45 calendar days. When reasonably necessary, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 calendar days and notify you of the extension.
Requests to opt out of sale or sharing, and applicable requests to limit sensitive personal information, will be processed as soon as reasonably feasible and within the period required by applicable law.
Appeals and concerns
If we deny a request, we will provide an explanation when required. You may contact us using the information below if you believe a request was handled incorrectly. You may also submit a complaint to the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
11. Information security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encrypted connections, payment security controls, monitoring, backups, vendor management, and personnel procedures.
No website, transmission, storage system, or security measure is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account activity.
12. International processing
Shopify and other service providers may process or store personal information in the United States, Canada, or other jurisdictions where they or their providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where you live.
Where required, we and our providers use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
13. Children’s privacy
Our website and products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us. We will review the request and take appropriate action consistent with applicable law.
14. Marketing communications
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. You may opt out of marketing text messages by following the instructions in the message, such as replying STOP where available.
Even after opting out of marketing, we may continue to send non-promotional communications concerning orders, accounts, warranties, security, product safety, recalls, support requests, or our ongoing business relationship.
