Charging Behavior On Computers

A connected automotive product may display the message, “The attached cable cannot currently charge your device.” This is normal when the cable is connected to a computer: the device remains powered and operational, but the available power does not increase its battery level.

This behavior is normal. While the device does receive enough power from the computer to remain powered on and to operate, it does not receive enough power for the battery level to increase.
