Garmin GNC® 215 - 010-02481-01
The Garmin GNC® 215 is a slimline NAV/COMM radio that combines VHF navigation and communications in a modern full-color display. Its 1.35” bezel height makes it a practical option when replacing similar-sized legacy radios while preserving valuable panel space. Frequency lookup, standby monitoring, and familiar Garmin controls help streamline routine tuning tasks.
VHF Navigation Capability
Support VOR/ILS navigation with localizer and glideslope capability. A supplemental CDI display is available for VOR or localizer guidance after entering an OBS setting.
Faster Frequency Tuning
Find navaid and airport frequencies from the built-in worldwide database and send a selected result to standby. Frequency memory, recall, dedicated flip-flop control, and one-press access to 121.5 support efficient radio operation.
Active And Standby Monitoring
Monitor a standby VOR frequency and view its received radial, or listen to a standby COMM frequency without leaving the active channel. Automatic station ID decodes Morse code for visual station identification.
Display And Controls
The large, high-resolution full-color LCD includes pilot-selectable brightness controls for clear presentation. Concentric knobs, 5 back-lit keys, and a dedicated volume/power knob follow control concepts used across other Garmin avionics. A built-in timer can count up or down to assist with approaches, holds, and other assigned maneuvers.
Communication And Connectivity
The 2,280-channel capable VHF COMM transceiver provides standard 10 watts of transmit power, with optional 16 watts available with enablement. Pilot-selectable 25 kHz or 8.33 kHz channel spacing and automatic or manual squelch support the required communications setup. Bluetooth 5.0 supports A2DP and AVRCP music profiles plus HFP phone capability, storing up to 8 paired devices with 1 device connected at a time.
Panel Integration
The GNC® 215 interfaces with most CDI, HSI, and autopilot systems, as well as Garmin primary flight displays. When installed with a compatible GPS source such as GTN™ or GNS™ navigator series avionics, it can show distance to a VOR navaid and enable frequency ID to display the tuned frequency’s identifier and type. Firmware updates are free and field loadable by micro-SD card.

FIND A FREQUENCY
Enter an airport identifier, and let the GNC 215 radio look up frequencies for that location (tower, ground, ATIS, clearance delivery, etc.) from its worldwide database. Then send the selected frequency to the standby position.

FREQUENCY ID
Pair with your compatible GPS source to enable frequency ID and show your tuned frequency’s identifier and type, including tower, ATIS, center and more. So you always know who you’re talking to.

STANDBY COMM MONITORING
Listen to a standby frequency, such as ATIS, without leaving your active channel.

INSTANT RECALL
With frequency memory and recall, you can quickly tune your most frequently or recently used frequencies. Plus, holding down the volume knob will dial up the 121.5 emergency frequency.

BUILT-IN TIMER
Use the built-in timer to assist with approaches, holds and other assigned maneuvers — with the option to count up or count down.

NVG COMPATIBLE
For demanding night missions, GNC 215 is available with an optional NVIS enablement.

REMOTE TUNING
Pair the GNC 215 radio with your AXISTM Flight display, or G3X Touch™ flight display, and remotely tune your radio via your flight display touchscreen.
