Garmin AXIS GDU 116NC 11.6-Inch IFR NAV/COMM Flight Display | 010-03002-00

Garmin AXIS™ GDU 116NC — 11.6" Integrated Flight Display combines primary flight, multifunction and available engine indication capability with an internal IFR-certified GPS, integrated VHF NAV receiver, 10-watt VHF COMM radio and internal audio-panel capability. Designed for eligible certified aircraft, part number 010-03002-00 provides a full-HD glass-cockpit interface that can centralize flight, GPS navigation, VOR and localizer navigation, radio communication and cockpit-audio functions.

Integrated IFR GPS And VHF NAV

The GDU 116NC includes an internal GPS receiver and VHF NAV receiver certified for IFR navigation. It supports GPS-based navigation together with compatible VOR, localizer and glideslope operations, giving the panel access to both satellite and conventional ground-based navigation sources.

10-Watt COMM And Audio Capability

An integrated 10-watt VHF COMM radio supports active and standby frequency display, standby-frequency tuning, frequency swap, volume, squelch and monitoring through the AXIS interface. The display also supports an internal audio-panel configuration with a four-place intercom, dual-COMM switching and COMM playback.

Full-HD Touch And Knob Control

View critical flight and system information on an 11.6" landscape display with 1920 × 1080 full-HD resolution. Pilots can operate AXIS through the capacitive touchscreen, two dual concentric knobs and six bezel softkeys, providing both direct touch interaction and tactile control.

Primary Flight And Multifunction Display Capability

The GDU 116NC can serve as the center of a configurable Garmin AXIS flight display system. When configured as a primary flight display, it presents attitude, airspeed, altitude, heading, air data, navigation guidance and other critical flight information within the Primary Flight Window. Split-screen arrangements can keep a Multifunction Window visible alongside the PFD, while MFD configurations can display moving maps, flight plans, waypoint data, terrain, obstacles and available traffic or weather overlays. Additional available functions include enhanced synthetic vision, 3D SafeTaxi® airport diagrams, pilot-selectable widgets and customizable data fields.

Integrated IFR GPS, NAV, COMM And Audio

The GDU 116NC is the most fully integrated certified 11.6" AXIS configuration. Its internal IFR GPS supports graphical flight planning and compatible GPS-guided approach operations, while the integrated VHF NAV receiver provides access to conventional VOR, localizer and glideslope navigation. Supported installations can provide automatic GPS-to-localizer switching for ILS operations. The built-in 10-watt VHF COMM radio places active and standby frequency controls directly within the AXIS interface, and the internal audio-panel capability supports a four-place intercom, compatible dual-COMM operation, COMM playback and selected Bluetooth phone or entertainment functions.

Engine Display And Panel Integration

When paired with the required compatible GEA™ 110 engine adapter, sensors and approved aircraft configuration, AXIS can display engine, electrical, fuel and other aircraft-system information. Garmin specifies that a GEA 110 installation requires at least one GDU 116C or GDU 116NC in the system. The 11.6" display measures approximately 11.00" wide by 7.83" high by 4.28" deep, with approximately 2.48" of installation depth behind the panel face. It also uses the same panel cutout and screw locations as the Garmin 10.6" G3X Touch™ display, creating a practical upgrade path for qualifying installations.

Not sure this is the right fit for your aircraft?

AXIS installations require professional system planning and installation. Aircraft eligibility, IFR GPS and VHF NAV antenna requirements, internal audio-panel configuration, ADAHRS and magnetometer selection, engine monitoring equipment, autopilot compatibility, datalink interfaces, wiring and mounting provisions must be confirmed for the specific aircraft. Contact Neal Avionics before ordering so we can verify part number 010-03002-00 and help configure the correct AXIS system for your panel.

Flexible Display Roles

One Display. Multiple Missions.

Depending on the approved aircraft installation and connected system components, the GDU 116NC can support primary flight, multifunction and engine-information presentation.

PFD

Primary Flight Display

Present attitude, airspeed, altitude, heading, air data, navigation guidance and other critical information in a configurable Primary Flight Window. Split-screen layouts can keep mapping, engine or supplemental information visible beside the primary flight view.

MFD

Multifunction Display

Display moving maps, flight plans, waypoint information, terrain, obstacles and available traffic or weather overlays. Full-screen and split-screen arrangements help organize information for each phase of flight.

EIS

Engine Indication System

When paired with the required GEA™ 110 engine adapter, compatible sensors and approved configuration, AXIS can display engine, electrical, fuel and other aircraft-system parameters. A GEA 110 installation requires at least one GDU 116C or GDU 116NC.

Garmin AXIS flight display product lineup

Larger. Smarter. Faster.

The 11.6-inch AXIS format provides a full inch more diagonal display area than the Garmin 10.6-inch G3X Touch™ display. Faster processing supports responsive map interaction, while enhanced graphics provide clear presentation of flight, navigation and system information.

Garmin AXIS fully integrated flight display system

Fully Integrated System

Nearly Everything in One Display

The GDU 116NC combines an IFR GPS navigator, VHF NAV receiver, 10-watt VHF COMM radio and internal audio-panel capability with a full-HD flight display. Integrating these functions can reduce the need for a traditional radio stack while centralizing flight, navigation, radio and audio controls.

Antennas, sensors, connectors, installation kits and other required components are selected separately according to the approved aircraft installation.
